buildlumy.com is a personal blog written by Manish Singh in India. This page explains, in plain words, what personal data the site handles, why, and what you can do about it.

1. What this site collects

  • No accounts, comments or forms. You can read everything without giving any personal details.
  • Visit counts. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. Cloudflare says it “does not collect or use your visitors' personal data” and doesn't use cookies or local storage to track you.
  • Hosting and request records. This site is served by Cloudflare. To deliver each page and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes technical details of every request, such as your IP address and other information about the traffic. It does this on my behalf, as a data processor, under its own privacy policy, which also explains how long it keeps such data. Some of these details can be shown to me in Cloudflare's dashboard. I don't run a server of my own and keep no separate logs.
  • Search. Search runs inside your browser. Your search words are not sent to a search service, but they appear in the page address (for example /search/?q=word), so they are part of the request details above.
  • Email you send me. If you write to contact@buildlumy.com, Cloudflare Email Routing receives your message and forwards it to my Gmail inbox. I receive your email address and message, and I use them only to reply. Cloudflare keeps a short delivery record of each forwarded email (for example, whether it was forwarded), which I can see in its dashboard for up to 30 days.

2. What this site does not do (yet)

  • It sets no cookies.
  • It shows no ads and uses no advertising or Google Analytics cookies. If that changes, this page and the Cookies page will be updated before it happens, and visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent where required.
  • It does not sell or share your personal data.

3. Fonts, images and search files

Fonts, images and the search index are served from this site itself, not from other companies' servers. The only file from outside is Cloudflare's visit-count script (see section 1).

4. Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules, you can ask to access, correct, update or erase personal data I hold about you, and nominate someone to act for you. I'll reply within 90 days at most.

If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

5. Children

This site is not aimed at children, and it doesn't knowingly collect personal data from them.
